During the pre-production phase, we conducted in-depth research on Japan's bubble economy period to align with the game's setting. We also explored how to effectively interpret the jam's theme, "Loop," within the framework of a narrative-driven game.
Role: Game Artist | Project: Find Eri
Game Prop Art: Key Narrative Items
Visual Storytelling: Designed and illustrated portrait photographs of the protagonist across three distinct timelines (early, middle, late stages) as critical puzzle-solving items.
Psychological Nuance: Created subtle yet deliberate discrepancies in her personality and facial expressions across these portraits to evoke a growing sense of unease and narrative mystery.
Design Intent: These intentionally unsettling visual cues were embedded to prompt player suspicion and actively drive the game's plot forward through environmental storytelling.
Character Design & Animation
Protagonist Design: Created distinct visual designs for the male and female protagonists, emphasizing a clear contrast between an outgoing and an introverted personality.
Chibi-Style Mechanics: Translated both character designs into a cohesive Chibi art style specifically for the game's pursuit mechanic.
Frame-by-Frame Animation: Produced all frame-by-frame animations required for the pursuit sequences, including dedicated running and attacking animations for both characters.
